Homes for Sale in Nappanee, Indiana

Nappanee is located in the heart of Amish Country and is currently the 6th largest Amish settlement in the country. Tourists flock to this area to visit Amish Acres, enjoy hearty home cooked meals, and shop hand-made furniture, woodworking and crafts. The popular Rise ‘n Roll Bakery certainly helped to put Nappanee on the map! Rise ‘n Roll donuts are so tasty (and addicting!) that they are lovingly referred to by locals as Amish Crack.

More than 80,000 people attend Nappanee’s annual Apple Festival on the 3rd week of each September. Named #1 in Indiana’s Top 10 Fall Festivals, the event kicks off each year with the baking of a 7 foot apple pie which is then sliced into 800 pieces and divvied up among attendees.Ā

Historically Nappanee was founded as a railroad town whose first real industry was from the sawmill, later followed by box making, furniture making and potato and onion farming. Today, Nappanee is well known for its thriving RV manufacturing industry as well as its custom furniture and cabinet making industries.
