About Amy Evans
Who Am I?
I was raised on a farm in the small town of Kouts, Indiana. Growing up on a farm instilled in me the value of hard work, as I spent many summers walking the corn and bean fields pulling weeds alongside my siblings or picking up rocks before it was time for spring plowing. When I wasn’t working at home, I was serving up ice cream at the local ice cream shop. Living in a small town also taught me the importance of intentional community, personal integrity, honesty, and that your reputation matters.
Kouts is also the place I met and married my high school sweetheart, Zach. Zach & I dated for nearly 5 years before we tied the knot to the cheers and support of the entire town. After college, we moved to Warsaw where Zach began working at Zimmer Biomet and I got my first job teaching 6th grade math.
I loved my years teaching elementary and middle school, but took a break from my education career when I had my daughter Mackenzie in 2009. By the end of 2010, my son Drew joined the family and my focus was entirely on raising the kids. As any parent can tell you, raising young humans is the hardest job you will ever have the privilege of having.
While the kids were very young, I started studying the local housing market and reading a number of real estate investment books. What started as a hobby over time became a serious endeavor. We bought our first home in 2008, fixed it up, and sold it a year later. Over the course of the next 6 years, we did two more live-in renovations, which helped us to achieve our initial goal of owning our house outright and becoming 100% debt free. In 2014 we began flipping houses without living in the chaos (yay!). By 2016, I was recruited by a local real estate agent and had the privilege of learning the ins and outs of real estate transactions in an assistant role. Naturally, this lead to me getting my license, which has since afforded me the opportunity to help others achieve their real estate goals and dreams.
Why am I a real estate agent? Real estate is much more to me than a job. It is what I love, it is my investment vehicle of choice, it is the area of expertise that I can offer to others, and it is the perfect blend of my passions: education, houses, and serving others. If you are thinking about buying or selling and would like to discuss your goals, please reach out to me today!

She scheduled showings very fast and through the whole buying process responded to our text messages almost instantly. Felt the support from Amy from day 1 and her expertise definitely made the process so smooth! As first time home buyers we were ready for this to be hectic and stressful but honestly whenever we had questions or did not understand something we had the peace of mind Amy knew how to handle it and so she did during the whole process. I am definitely staying in touch with Amy for future home purchases and 100% recommend her as a real estate agent professional. read less
